Al-Watania Al-Awla was founded in 1971 and released its early production of a prefabricated housing portfolio in the southern city of Basra. The unit was constructed using early construction methods through the use of papyrus gathered from the marshlands and was used as a form of wall and ceiling cladding as a excellent form of heat insulation.
Throughout the years Al-Watania Al-Awla expanded its scope of work in Iraq and opened its second manufacturing facility for prefabricated
